Shopify has implemented a fix and is gradually rolling it out to all affected stores. The update should already be live on your store or will be within the next few days.
Because the fix changes how the address is pre-filled at checkout, Shopify is deploying it in phases to ensure everything continues to function as expected.
Shopify's team have assured us their developers are in the process of implementing a fix. We will share further updates as we receive them. Update from Shopify's team: https://x.com/liam_at_shopify/status/1912134139031040041
We’ve received an update from Shopify:
This issue is known to their development team and is actively being investigated. However, there is currently no estimated timeframe for a resolution.
We’ll keep following up with them and will share any significant updates here.
We have received several reports that our prepopulation feature is not working as expected. This issue occurs only on a fresh visit to the checkout. If you’ve previously visited the checkout or refresh the page while on the checkout, the pickup address prepopulates as expected.
This appears to be a Shopify bug, and we have reported the issue to their technical team. It has been escalated, and they are currently investigating.
We will provide updates as soon as we have more information.
